Are you ready? Humanity is on the horizon of one of the most paramount ONE-GOD, JESUS-NAME APOSTOLIC AWAKENINGS in the chronicles of time. A revelation and revival of One God and the Name of Jesus is about to sweep this world before the imminent return of Christ. Acts 3:6 states "...such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus..."
It was a day like most days. A long list of things to do pushed me hard and fast. I shuffled priorities and still there were things left undone. The plane was half an hour late, so I had time for a quick bite to eat. Sitting in the small airport restaurant alone, my ears, as well as my eyes, became people conscious. The phone rang behind the counter. Just a shade of relief gradually spread over the worried face of the waitress. A slightly encouraging report from the hospital said there would be no surgery, at least not now.
Later that day, I was standing at one of a long line of telephones in the terminal. I was not eavesdropping, just "ear conscious" of people around me. The lady next to me was desperately trying to encourage someone who seemed near a nervous breakdown. On the other side, a young man stood talking, pleading. It was very evident that there had already been a breakdown of communication in his family. A middle-aged lady passed by; her drooping face and staring eyes spoke of troubled sadness.
George Barna reports the sobering statistic that most Christians pray less than five minutes per day. Wow!
I am trying to picture in my mind how many marriages would survive with less than five minutes dialog daily. Or how many relationships would become stronger or grow with that small and limited amount of communication. When you love someone, not only do you want contact with them, but I think it would be safe to say that you also "need" contact with them. For a relationship to grow and flourish, time must be spent in each other's presence. For a person to have a secure feeling in a relationship, there must be fellowship on a consistent basis.
For more than half a century, I have never known one day when I had not more business than I could get through. For 40 years, I have had annually about 30,000 letters, and most of these have passed through my own hands. I have nine assistants always at work corresponding in German, French, English, Danish, Italian, Russian, and other languages. Then, as pastor of a church with 1200 believers, great has been my care. I have had charge of five orphanages; also at my publishing depot, the printing and circulation of millions of tracts, books, and Bibles. But I have always made it a rule never to begin work till I have had a good season with God. ~ George Mueller (Richard Mayhue, Keys to fruitful prayer--Divine Healing Today, Moody Press, p. 104)
"So shall He sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at Him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider." Isaiah 52:15
This scripture illustrates that the Lord our God shall inform us of things that we did not know and we will listen. This was the key scripture and theme of the first prayer conference "Jesus Astonished the Nations" held in Cochabamba, Bolivia this past July, 2012.
Honored, I was asked by Missionaries Robert and Lisbeth Dame to be the conference speaker. Along with four ladies from my church, Oneness Rehoboth Apostolic Church, we spent 12 days in Bolivia ministering to the saints in the city of Chochabamba. The two week itinerary developed by the Dame's included ministering at the men's and ladies prison as well as a service for the inmates children, a prayer walk at each of the seven churches in Cochabamba, a ministers wives tea, and concluding with a prayer conference and Holy Ghost rally.
